FIX IT

Start with what the scooter does.

Do not buy a controller because somebody guessed “controller.” Follow the symptom, make one check, and narrow the fault.

Stop first: a hot, swollen, punctured, smoking, hissing, or wet battery is not a troubleshooting exercise. Move away from it and do not charge it.

START HERE

Choose the symptom you actually have.

START HERE

Powers on, will not move

Brake cutoff, throttle, wiring, controller output, motor Hall sensors (rotor-position sensors), phase wires (the three motor-power wires), and battery sag (voltage dropping under load).

MORE SYMPTOMS

Will not charge

Separate charger, outlet, charge port, wiring, battery, and protection-system problems.

MORE SYMPTOMS

Shuts off under load

Track voltage drop, weak connections, overheating, current limits, and tired battery packs.

POWERS ON, WILL NOT MOVE

Do these in order.

Do not skip ahead because a replacement part is already in your cart.

  1. Make sure the driven wheel can turn.Check a jammed brake, seized bearing, damaged tire, or mechanical bind before chasing electronics.
  2. Release every brake lever completely.A stuck or misadjusted brake-cutoff switch can let the display power up while blocking throttle.
  3. Inspect every connector you recently touched.Look for backed-out pins, half-seated plugs, corrosion, heat damage, and wires pulled tight at the stem or deck hinge.
  4. Test the throttle instead of guessing.Confirm its supply, ground, and changing signal with a meter. Wire color alone is not proof of function.
  5. Check battery voltage while asking for power.A pack can show normal voltage at rest and collapse when the controller demands current.
  6. Only then move to controller and motor tests.Phase output, Hall-sensor signals, controller lock/enable wires, display communication, and model-specific interlocks (conditions that must be satisfied before drive is allowed) come after the simple causes are cleared.
Repair rule: function before color, measurement before assumption, evidence before confidence.
